Introduction
Gensokyo uses an RP HUD system called GPHUD! Some other sims use it, but due to the flexibility of the system, each installation is different. There are official docs provided, but these are generally for admin-end use.
This guide aims to cover usage of the HUD on-sim, and what you can do with it.

First attaching the HUD + General interface
The HUD is a temporary attachment that can be obtained by clicking signs either at the landing, the RP hub, or at the Hakurei Shrine.
The first time you click one of these signs, you'll get an experience permission request popup. Accept this, as this allows the HUD to auto-attach when you click the sign. You won't have to accept permissions if you've accepted them on another sim that uses GPHUD.

This is the general HUD interface - it'll be accompanied by floating text indicating the current season and weather - weather changes weekly!
This icon opens the character menu, where you can edit and create a character, as well as change what appears on your titler.

This icon lets you quickly roll a D20, and to provide a reason which appears in local chat.

Character creation
Upon attaching the HUD, you'll be prompted to name your character. Don't worry, you can change this at any time! Now that your character is named, you can set the character info that appears in your titler. You may also create new characters and switch between them - useful for different avatars.
Each character holds their own titler info, inventory, levels, and exp. You may have up to 5 characters in the HUD.
The menu should be straightforward, with options to enter a gender and two titler lines.
Your 'faction' is essentially your race - whether your character is a human or youkai. For technicality's sake, any non-human creature (even if humanoid) probably counts as a youkai, even if not referred to as such canonically. Again, you may change this at any time.
Deleting a character requires secondary confirmation and cannot be undone.

IC Status and RP
You can set your IC status through the main menu by clicking the respective option on the blue menu. There are 3 options, being IC, OOC, and AFK. You can switch these at any time.
The RP channel for the HUD is channel 2. Anything you say on channel 2 will be said as your character.
For example;
/2 Hello everyone!
Will turn into
[Character name]: Hello everyone!

Inventory & Items
Your inventory holds any non-tangible items you may collect around Gensokyo. As in, items that do not have a physical SL item form. These can be for quests, healing, combat, or simply collectables.
If you have any collectables, you can exchange them at Kourindou for credits, which you can in turn use to buy consumables and random knick-knacks.
You can either view your inventory's contents, or select an item to interact with.
Your inventory's space is unlimited... well, kind of. It can hold up to 500 items, a limit I don't think anyone is going to reach.

Dice & Rolling
Aside from the quick D20 option on the HUD, the main menu offers two options for dice rolling, for all your dice rolling needs.
Roll: Allows you to customize your roll more in-depth. Choose amount of dice, amount of sides, a bias to the outcome, and a reason that's logged in chat.
Compare roll: You and another character roll against each other, and can be configured like a normal roll.

Combat, HP, and healing
As now right now, the HUD's only capability for combat is through randomized dice-roll based attacks.
Either through the HUD button or menu, you can choose someone to attack nearby, and they'll have an option to either dodge or block.
Dodging has a chance to completely nullify the incoming attack, while blocking can reduce the damage.
Attacking relies on your attack stat, while dodging relies on your agility stat, and blocking relies on your defense.
NPC combat works a bit differently - you now have 3 options for attacking.
For defense, you have the same options as PVP, and the NPC enemy selects from the same pool of attack types you have. Some enemies have a 4th option, such as healing or simply a 'wait' turn.
Once you defeat an NPC, you can collect loot! This always consists of EXP, but sometimes you may get a collectable, or even something special...?! Stronger enemies will drop higher-value collectables and more EXP!
Your health is a meter that goes from 0 to 100, which is noted in your titler. Once you've been damaged, you can restore your health either via an item, or restore it fully by using a full potion or visiting Eientei's clinic (aka the right building in the mansion in the bamboo forest).
You cannot attack or be attacked if you have 0 HP.

Levels and EXP
Your level is noted on your titler - everyone starts at level 1, and you level up by gaining EXP.
Starting out, each level takes only 1 EXP to level up. But every 3 levels, the amount needed increases by 1.
For example;
You can obtain EXP for being on-sim (1 EXP every 60 minutes), through quests, and through NPC battles.
Every time you level up, you get one ability point to spend, and this can go into either attack, agility, or defense. This can be done by choosing 'upgrade' on the main menu.
Your stats can be checked by going to the character menu and selecting 'status'.
